Testing email scheduler using Time Cave

I have previously made a post How to schedule post to be published in the future, but the site I use went offline, back online and now offline again. So I am testing a new site Time Cave to see if the same thing can be done with this site. It is now 24 September 2007, 7.37pm GMT+8, preparing the post to be published to Generating Revenue from your website, scheduled to be sent (published) at 12.00am, 27 September 2007. If this test is successful, I will update this post if the test is successful.

UPDATE: The post was published to Earn by adding Mpire widgets to your sites on 27 September as scheduled, but with problems. There were long, unbroken line of URLs which extended to the right sidebar. See screenshot below:

problem post dated (scheduled) post using Time Cave with problems

The HTML hyperlinks were not converted to clickable links, but became long unbroken URL extending into the sidebar (highlighted by arrows). I will have to edit the post from within Blogger post editor, so by the time you click on the link to go to that scheduled post, it will be different from what you see in the screenshot.

When I went into the post editor window, I found the reasons. Special characters were added into the HTML like addition 1 and and and

For clarity, I will paste one of the changed HTML for a hyperlink I got in the post editor window for that scheduled post before editing in the scroll box below:

addition 1 href=http://testing-blogger-beta.blogspot.com/2007/09/will-blogger-blogs-be-deleted.html target="_blank">Mpire: Everything you need to find the best deals online</aa onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMr3KnAJpq54Dc02WjtqRrifKuzZwRxzeR7q_FCEG5XmKShxcXnAB1vNwCVAe4mkCDw52CpaKcxqC2zo_nwIxKJk4dGn_wQVdIXTRCWVGdOp9zqKvUq-kFNZWVzCmqp2Vw-BDZO-0W0uFL/s1600-h/addition+4.jpg">

Perhaps one thing I need to test further is to just put the URLs into the message editor box of Time Cave without converting it to HTMLs for hyperlinks and test again. If I do that, I will test if posts containing images can be scheduled for future publishing.

I think that you have one to many adsense ad groups on your site. I believe that you are only allowed 3and you seem to have 4 or 5

Hi EcoSea,

Thanks for alerting me. I check the individual post page of this post and I counted 3 ad units (wide skyscraper in the left sidebar, leaderboard unit in the footer and one small banner at the bottom of the post) 3 unobtrusive link units, and 3 referral links.

I checked the main page, and I see the skyscraper unit, 2 small banner at the bottom of the first 2 posts, and the leaderboard plus the rest of the small banners between the posts have been surpressed by AdSense.

AdSense allows 3 ad units, 3 link units, 3 referral links, 2 search boxes, so I do not see where I have violated AdSense policy. Anyway, I am going to copy your comment, my response plus the relevant URLs to AdSense support and await their response. I thank you for your concern.

I am certainly not an expert on adsence policy I do however try very hard to remain inside their TOS. I went to Google here is what they have which supports that you are correct! congradulations!
Ad Placement
AdSense offers a number of ad formats and advertising products. Publishers are encouraged to experiment with a variety of placements, provided the following policies are respected:

Up to three ad units may be displayed on each page.
A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page.
Up to three link units may also be placed on each page.
Up to three referral units may be displayed on a page, in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link units specified above.
AdSense for search results pages may show only a single ad link unit in addition to the ads Google serves with the search results. No other ads may be displayed on your search results page.
No Google ad or Google search box may be displayed in a pop-up, pop-under, or in an email.
Elements on a page must not obscure any portion of the ads.
No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages.
No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant.

Peter if you would like to comment specificaly on saigon hotels or the picture i would be happy to post them for you!

Thank you for visiting!
Have a great Day!

Hi Fred,

At least now I don't have to address you as EcoSea. See the problem photo at Saigon Hotel photo problem. I have earlier commented with suggestions, but looks like that got lost in cyberspace. I don't want to go through it again. I can't remember what is in this post Uploading and manipulating photos in Blogger, but hope it has something that addresses the problem. You probably can solve the problem, if not, comment and when I have the time I will try to elaborate.

There's a better site for scheduling posts! You can schedule blogs with LetterMeLater.com. It's free, and there's no link at the bottom of the emails.

Hi lbj,

Thanks for the information. I just signed up and testing it. Should know the result in a few days time. By then I hope to have time for a post. If I do, I will like to acknowledge your contribution. Can you know how you would like me to do that - real name/nickname/noname and/or link

No need to acknowledge me, I just hope some people will find it as useful as I have. Thanks!

letter me later is about the best I have found. You can write your posts in html, or in rich text, and switch back and forth. You can add pictures with no trouble.
